The strategy of the World Gladiators Federation (WGF) outlines a clear and cohesive plan to develop our sport globally, safeguard its historical roots, and ensure competitions that are fair, safe, and inclusive. Global Development
This pillar focuses on supporting the creation and growth of national federations, expanding participation from grassroots initiatives to elite levels, and providing pathways for youth. Development camps, starter toolkits, and educational resources for coaches are promoted to ensure that the sport reaches every corner of the world.
Technical Excellence
WGF is committed to keeping competition rules and technical guidelines constantly updated, standardizing training and licensing for referees, judges, coaches, and athletes. Safe equipment standards and best medical practices are promoted to guarantee the highest quality of competition.
Historical Preservation
Through the Gladiator Historicus sector, WGF supports research-based reconstructions, collaborations with historians, archaeologists, and museums, as well as public educational events and historical demonstrations, ensuring that our roots are not only remembered but actively brought to life.
Education & Innovation
WGF develops educational materials for schools, clubs, and academies, integrates modern technology through e-learning platforms, video libraries, and webinars, and encourages research projects that improve both technical and organizational aspects of the sport.
Governance, Integrity & Ethics

Implementation & Monitoring
The General Assembly approves the strategy and reviews its progress annually, the Executive Committee sets priorities and supervises operations, the Commissions design and deliver specialized programs, the President’s Office manages coordination and international relations, and the National Federations apply the standards locally while reporting on their results. Progress is monitored through annual performance indicators and public reports to maintain transparency and trust.
